How SantaReally Works


  Hi, again my readers. I finally introduce the special Christmas book "How SantaReally Works".  It is called  だれもしらないサンタの秘密 in Japan. I really love it, so check it out.


 This book tells you that where Santa lives, how Santa carries presents, why Santa knows the presents children want, what does Santa do after the Christmas, and so on. You can totally know about Santa Claus if you read this book. Before Christmas comes, you should read it. I also recommend it as a Christmas present to your special person.

Father Christmas


   How are you doing, my readers? Today, I introduce the book "Father Christmas" It is called さむがりやのサンタ in Japan. 
 



   Raymond Briggs, creator of "The Snowman", tells a Christmas story that will appeal to everyone who wants to believe in Santa Claus. The book is set out in a comic style way, the illustrations are easy to follow and the story flows from picture to picture. He more than makes up for it in heart and humor. 
 




 













 Father Christmas is not usual story about Christmas Eve but I just love this book. This is a great children's book that adults can enjoy as well.
I hope Santa Claus comes to everyone.

Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed

  This time I introduce the book, " Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed" It was written by Eileen Christelow. Her book always have cute animals.


 
 
 
5 little monkeys jumping on the bed. One fell off and bumped his head. Mom called the Doctor and he said "No more monkeys jumping on the bed."
Then 4  little monkeys jumping on the bed. One fell off and bumped his head. Mom called the Doctor and he said "No more monkeys jumping on the bed."
3 little monkeys …
2 little monkeys …
1 little monkeys …
Finally all monkeys fell off and bumped his head. So they fell fast asleep.






  When I was a little, I read this book many times. This classic rhyme and rhythm attract many children and cute little five monkeys as well. This story is being published serially. You shoud check it out.

Papa, Please Get the Moon for Me

   This time I will introduce the book, "Papa, please get the moon for me". Japanese title is “ぱぱお月さまとって” It was written by Erick Carle. It has unique and delightful pictures. Also it kinds of pop up books, (仕掛け絵本)the story literally unfolds as pages open dramatically.




A young girl, Monica wants the moon to play with. She asked her father, "Papa, please get the moon for me." He grabs a very long ladder, and try to get it. It isn't easy to climb the all way up to the moon.
But he finally succeeds. She able to dance and play with the moon until it disappeared. At the end of story, it reappears in the sky.



                                                                                        

   This book expresses perfectly father's love for his child. "Papa please get the moon for me" is a book to be reread many times I think.

The rabbits wedding

  Today, I will talk about "The rabbits' wedding".It is called  しろいうさぎとくろいうさぎ in Japan. Ths book was written by Garth Williams. He brings weight and texture to his art creating characters.


   

The two rabbits, a white rabbit and a black rabbit lived in a large forest. Every day they hopped and loved to spend all day playing together.The black rabbit keeps thinking about how he wants them to be together always, and he said to the white rabbit "I wish you were all mine." And she said "Then I will be all yours." In conclusion, they have a celebration where all the other animals come to dance in a circle.






 
  How sweet book this is. My father gave my mother this book before they marry. Thanks this book, I am here today.

The Story of Little Black Sambo

  Today, I intriduce about "The Story of Little Black Sambo"(ちびくろさんぼ). This book was written and illustrated by Helen Bannerman.




   Sambo is a South Indian boy who encounters four hungry tigers. He is threatened to eat by tigers, and surrenders his colourful new clothes, shoes, and umbrella so they will not eat him. The tigers think that who is the most strong and chase each other around a tree until they melt butter. Finally, they melt and became butter. Sambo then recovers his clothes and takes home the butter. His mother makes pancakes out of the butter and sambo eats 169 pieces of pancakes!

   This book is one of the most favorite book.  If you like it, you should read !!!
